Located in the heart of Lucan village, Seasons on the Weir occupies 1 The Mall, a building which spans back to the late 1700s and is set in the heart of Lucan’s Architectural Conservation Area.
Following a complete refurbishment of the property in 2021/2022, where great care was taken to ensure the continued Architectural Heritage of the building was protected, local businessman Alan Gale opened Seasons on the Weir, a Tapas restaurant on 1st September 2022.
As a teenager growing up in Lucan village, Alan worked in the same building for the previous occupiers, when the property was operated as a pharmacy, by the local Griffin family. Alan also worked as a chef in Spain and operated his own seafood restaurant in San Francisco, which lead to Alan’s inspiration for Seasons and a desire to bring both Spanish and international flavours to the people of Lucan.
In keeping with the tradition of family run businesses at 1 The Mall, Alan is supported by his family who are happy to get hands on with this exciting new venture.
